I have been homeschooled all my life, and personally I love it. It lets me work at my own pace, letting me find my weakness and strengths in the best way possible. I’m thirteen now and I’m working on my first book.
Because I do not have as strict a schedule as someone who is public schooled, If I am struggling in a certain subject I can take an hour or two to study and work out the problem. This has made a significant impact on my grades and overall school experience. I also have the ability to model my schedule around my life outside of school, such as extracurricular actives and my family schedule.
And being homeschooled means I am always around my siblings, which has helped me create a stronger bond with them, making my life outside of school a lot less stressful.
It has also allowed me to become who I think I should be, not who other people think I should be. This has helped me become the person I am today.
I truly believe that I would have been a different person if I hadn’t been homeschooled. Being homeschooled has let me grow into my own skin, allowing me to become more comfortable and confident with who I am and what I look like. For that, I am grateful.
